**SPOILER** A dog is shown to have lost its owner. Another character gets in a verbal fight with the dog and they go different ways. Eventually reuniting.
They talk about a cow having died from poisoning but they don't show it and its more of a passing mention, a cartoon cat gets eaten by a cartoon monster in the opening sequence but it's not graphic and more comical in nature (still might upset someone tho)
The monsters are technically mutated animals that sometimes just resemble larger versions of the animal from which they mutated, whose bodies get shown in part and whole.
it is mentioned that the son of one of the characters we meet has died from the giant insects. of course it is sad but not emotionally lingered on for long.
No vomiting, but in a scene after the main character climbs out of a river, he is pulling large Leeches off of his arm and he gags a little. One of the Leeches lets out a little vomit but its nothing like real vomit and there are no gagging/wretching sounds.
Chemicals rain down on the earth and mutate all cold-blooded animals - some are very grotesque and disturbing, including a giant frog with extra misplaced eyes (including some on stalk-like growths) that hunts the protagonist. I know some people only use this category for body image issues (which are not in this movie) but I had to turn off the movie because of this and wish someone would have warned me.
