Hints at German Shepard dogfighting between 00:22:09 and 00:22:13.
Between 00:33:45 and 00:33:58 you see a bloodied (but seemingly physically unharmed) coat trapped in a cage.
Between 00:33:45 and 00:33:58 you see a bloodied (but seemingly physically unharmed) coat trapped in a cage. Contrary to the other comments, it is not dead nor is it depicted being killed, and runs off screen when the trap is triggered.
A few times - the ranch family are bound by the purgers before being rescued, plus the lead Mexican lady and her boss are arrested momentarily before the cops realise the purge hasn't actually ended like it should have
A female, Mexican main character experiences attempted rape within a prison transport van by a large, white Nazi male who is likely under the influence of drugs.
The scene is very aggressive and also features light gore.
00:49:36 - 00:50:20
I don't understand all the no's... While most of the violence is gun violence there is some use of blades. A purger is killed by his own blade (butcher's cleaver) when it's driven into his face, and there's a graphic throat slit towards the end when one of the lead characters has managed to get a large knife (machete maybe?) to the throat of a purger and after a tense few seconds of the guy resisting, his throat is slit.
At 00:19:14 - 00:19:16 a man gets his skull pulverised by a hammer. You do not see anything overly explicit but you do see a lot of gore and viscera splattering in the camera frame.
During a scene of sexual assault the victim digs her fingers into her assailant's eyes.
You hear him screaming and see her digging in her nails, but there is no visible gore, bleeding/hanging/burst eyeballs or detail as their hands cover his eyes.
00:50:04 - 00:50:11
Aside from early on in the film (pre-purge anarchy) when a kid is shown leading the refugees through the tunnel system into America, and a couple of kids shown playing with their nanny in the background of the family/friend dinner, no kids are really shown.
The rancher's father distracts the purgers holding him & his family hostage while the 2 friendly stable hands are getting into position to rescue them. He ends up with a bullet to his head seconds before the rest of the family is saved. Later on when a group have gathered at the native American's ranch, many of the strong fighters remain behind to hold the aggressing purgers at bay long enough for the rest of the group to make it across the border into Mexico. Some of the the group staying back are killed.
The father of main character 'Dylan' is shot point-blank in the forehead with a handgun. The actual shooting happens off-camera.
There is extreme detail on the bullet hole from both the front and back. The characters are depicted sobbing over his body.
00:40:40 - 00:43:00 /
A character called 'mother' by the leader of a radical racist gang is also shot during an action scene after she shoots main character 'T.T', she is shot by main character Juan. 1:12:00 - 1:12:30
There is audio gore featured heavily throughout the movie, including but not limited to;
People choking on blood, blood spatter, stabbing sounds, gurgling, body parts exploding.
One of the main characters is heavily pregnant. She's in peril (along with the rest of them) throughout most of the film, but she survives and her baby is shown healthy at the end (birth off-screen)
Absolutely :(There is a man with a large sw*stika tattooed on his forehead. That, and the villains group symbol is a skull with a symbol that closely resembles a sw*stika on the forehead (probably meant to allude to n*zism)
Yes. Yes, yes and yes. The major focal point of the movie is hatred against POC, specifically Mexican and other hispanic/latino people but there is also explicit hatred against black and native Americans as well.
There's an attempted sexual assualt (in the police van by the aggressive white guy with a swastika tattoo on his face) but he doesn't get very far before he's killed. Aside from that there's no other sexual content, consentual or not.
The entire movie features heavy gore, largely in the form of blood and gunshot wounds. There is no graphically detailed internal organs, viscera, or gaping wounds, although there is a short view of the exit hole of a headshot.
Majority of the violence is gun violence. There are many, many gunshot sounds and a scene where a character talks in-detail about the different guns as he hears the shots
