A GameFuna employee stalks the main character Luke, and goes from jumping over (?) his main gate to breaking into his house in the middle of the night to (MASSIVE SPOILERS) going to his house and shooting him
There is a card called "Child 13" that you (as with most other cards) can sacrifice, however the card more closely resembles a hybrid creature of some kind and not an actual child.
The core gameplay revolves around sacrificing animals to summon bigger ones or monsters. All animal death shown however is not presented in great detail at all, as they are only represented as simple drawings on playing cards.
one boss in act 1 has both a pack mule and a blood hound that can be killed, and killing the pack mule specifically is usually a good idea as it gives you an array of new cards
SPOILERS: Kinda, P03 gets it's head ripped off, (its a robot so it's not graphic). One of the characters in act 2 is a head on a spear (though we dont see the stump), The console exclusive ARG mentions someone's head being put inside a robot.
During gameplay, you can find pairs of pliers to yank out one of your teeth with for a small strategic advantage in games. It is quite unpleasant, but rather quick and over with.
The character Magnificus has his students do torturous activities as their "final exams". These include turning one of them into goo, making one fry on a hot surface, and depriving one of them of all their senses for a long time.
(Spoilers)
- The main villain, P03, get's his head torn off his body at the end of Act III
- The main character, Luke Carder, is shot in the head at the end of the game. There is blood.
- Every single character in the game is deleted at the very end, which is treated as them all dying.
The first chapter of the game involves the player character being stuck in a cabin with no issue. Additionally, multiple characters are magically trapped in playing cards and one, depicted as a wolf, is held captive in a cage.
SPOILERS: Kinda, in the "real world" things seem normal from the few glimpses we get from Luke's videos. The game world of Inscryption however tends to warp.
as far as i know it can be turned of; the screen shakes or behaves weirdly due to the player character mutilating themselv (as described above) to gain an advantage in the game ( espcially weird behaviour noted in the time after using the dagger)
No. One of the characters is referred to as "it" but it was confirmed by the creator that this is not in a derogatory way, and it's rather just one of their pronouns.
(SPOILERS)
The main villain (P03) can be interpreted as a transgender man and he get's his head torn clean off in Act III, however, he is not killed because he is transgender.
There are also two characters who are both men (P03 & Leshy) who are confirmed to have been married once. They both die at the end of the game. This is also for reasons other than their sexuality.
The pliers and a card called the Great White have blood stains on them, and there is also eye gore. (MASSIVE SPOILERS) the main character also gets shot and you can see a blood puddle.
