There are many references to this event (car noises, headlights and Eva clearly is experiencing frightening flashbacks) and at one stage, Eva has a very vivid memory of the event. Another character's car is crushed and his dead body is shown for a split second (when Eva retrieves the toy car from the bin). I think this film would be quite upsetting to survivors of car accidents.
