This is the story of an isolated Alaskan town that is plunged into darkness for a month each year when the sun sinks below the horizon. As the last rays of light fade, the town is attacked by a bloodthirsty gang of vampires bent on an uninterrupted orgy of destruction. Only the small town's husband-and-wife Sheriff team stand between the survivors and certain destruction.
This movie contains 40 potentially triggering events.
The vampires all live on a ship and move from place to place. Some of them might look stereotypically like homeless people but I don't think anyone is technically unhoused.
The dogs are stabbed to death by the Stranger but no animals are ever kicked or hit or any of the other kinds of abuse you might expect. In fact the owners are pretty torn up over it.
A number of bone breaks - inc. the vampire Marlow snapping the neck of 'the stranger' cuffed in the station holding cell (particularly graphic sound), & the leg of one of the towns people chasing his wife being dragged away under houses when the attack first begins
Main character Eben uses a needle to extract blood from recently turned (to vampire) & deceased friend Billy & then inject the blood into his own wrist
There is a brief reference to a character using pot as part of their cancer treatment at about 24 minutes in. There are no further references to cancer afterward.
At 11:45 to 12:30 the dogs bodies are shown, after a birdeye view of the town.
