Hopper has a blinded eye, apparently from being damaged by a bird (though we don't see this, there is a reference to it). All the fat characters are dumb. One of them literally named dim. One constantly eats and jiggles, and you might be like "oh it's a caterpillar that's what he's supposed to do" but then at the end he doesn't turn into a butterfly it's just him being fat with tiny wings, it's all completely intentional. They get stuck in places. People are disgusted by the fat grasshopper.
