Sort of? In some playthroughs, Ame can talk about her difficult childhood. One thing she can reveal is that her mother planned on selling her as a prostitute to make ends meet, leading to Ame running away. She was also emotionally neglected beforehand.

Ame's parents were neglectful and argued over custody rights during her childhood. Additionally, her mother considered selling Ame as an underage prostitute, which led to her running away. It's only discussed in certain JINE messages, where Ame can reveal part of her past. While she is on good enough terms with them now to visit them in certain circumstances, Ame is clearly affected by how she was treated, which explains her mental health problems in the present.

Yes, but not in the usual way. Ame is very obviously troubled, with a history of addiction, mental illness, and trauma. Several of the endings have her meet a tragic end. The most graphic is the 'Internet Overdose' ending, in which she starts vomiting on stream as a result of stress and drug use, which results in some pretty brutal harassment and Ame's graphically depicted mental breakdown in which it's implied she's overdosing on medication, self-harming, and having paranoid hallucinations. The last scene is her standing in her KAngel outfit while holding a funerary picture of herself, rambling serenely on stream. The intense harassment, a lot of which is misogynist in nature, plus Ame's breakdown triggered by it may be particularly upsetting.

It's complicated by the Save 0 ending reveal, but Ame and P-chan's relationship has mutually abusive elements. Ame herself had a troubled childhood full of neglect, bullying, and attempted sexual exploitation, which goes a long way in explaining many of her issues in the present. She can also openly lash out at her in-game audience in several endings.

Your mileage may vary, and SPOILERS: In one of the endings, Ame is very distraught over hearing the doorbell being rung, and P-chan's reply option is "There's no one here." The implication is that Ame is hallucinating the doorbell, but the scene can feel like gaslighting.

In some playthroughs, Ame can reveal part of her backstory. She had parents who would argue with each other over custody rights and would otherwise ignore her. They were in such dire straits that her mother contemplated selling her into prostitution, leading to Ame running away and couchsurfing between friends' houses. It's also revealed she got bullied a lot and had to drop out of school. This plays a major role in explaining Ame's emotional instability and obsessive need for validation.

Addiction, including that to drugs, is a major theme of the game. Ame can use various medications such as cold medicine, to weed, to prescription medications, to LSD, which will reduce her stress but also up her mental darkness. Using drugs will play a short animation of her consuming it and getting high, with the screen distorting shortly after. Some endings require you to use drugs in order to achieve them. Even if you decide not to use this mechanic, there are assorted references to addiction and drug use throughout. Note that the Switch version is softer, as "Medication" is changed to "Magicals," with Ame eating laced sweets instead.

Addiction is a major theme of the game. Ame has a history of drug use and self-harm, which is explored graphically. It's also made clear that she's addicted to the Internet and gets a high from getting validation from it. One anti-grinding ending involves her also getting a sexual addiction to the point where she decides to quit streaming in order to sate it. She also alludes to gacha addiction in some Tweeter messages. In short, one of Ame's major character flaws is her addictive personality.

Only speculative, but in one ending KAngel mid-breakdown tweets about shooing away a stray cat she could have adopted because she hated it would get more Internet famous than her. Shortly after she talks at length about making curry, and the next stream shows what appears to be blood on the walls. She rambles incoherently about how having pets trains you to become a parent, with her telling a story about a pet guppy of hers that died within a week. Some people interpret this as Ame actually killing the cat and cooking it into the curry, but there's no actual confirmation of this.

Some viewers leave comments sexualizing children. If you decide to have KAngel respond to them she'll condemn it.
Some playthroughs Ame can reveal some of her past trauma, and one thing that she can bring up is that her mother considered selling her as a prostitute as a child, leading to her running away. Worth mentioning is that while Ame is heavily implied to be a legal adult, she is not only mentally ill and addicted but has some problems with immaturity and emotional regression (possibly related to her trauma). During some parts, mostly mid-breakdown, she starts ranting about 'adults.' While not pedophilia, it may make fans sexualizing KAngel and Ame trying to cater to them through her sexuality (despite the negative impact on her mental health) uncomfortable in a similar vein.

Not on-screen, but Ame can discuss how she was almost forced into sex work as a minor. She is also repeatedly sexually harassed throughout the game by online commenters, though no physical elements are involved. After the final stream of the 'KAngel Tries Stuff' route where Ame meets a young fan, she will mention how the fan's father tried to make a pass at Ame.

Ame explicitly has a history of self-harm. One minigame that can trigger under high stress has Ame ask P-chan to help her cut, which is symbolized through abstract visuals (a beige rectangle with a pink line) This will have dialogue about it afterward, including an impromptu stream where KAngel talks about self-harm and why people do it. The "Dark Angel" ending has KAngel show her scars onstream before slitting her throat with a boxcutter.

Not present in all routes, but there are multiple endings that involve KAngel committing suicide or self-harm. If her stress levels go unchecked (there is actually an in-game meter showing how stressed she is), the player unlocks a scene with pixellated self-harm.

One ending, "There Are No Angels," depicts Ame-as-KAngel live streaming her suicide-by-jumping with the ingame audience reacting in horror. We don't see the aftermath, but we do see her standing on a roof and saying goodbye before the camera falls to the side. Note that it has some similarities to a real-world incident that happened in Japan.

One gameplay mechanic is having Ame use Dinder (in-game Tinder) to find dates, despite being in a relationship with the player. While it happens with P-chan's full knowledge, it can still loosely be classified as cheating. Two different endings also have Ame leave P-chan for another streamer. One of these endings has, in turn, Ame finding out this streamer was cheating on *her*, which causes her to have an infuriated breakdown where she swears vengeance on all men. Note that Ame cheating on P-chan gets a little more complicated with the Save 0 implication that P-chan isn't a real person in mind. The stream ASMR 5 also has KAngel acting out a 'cucking'/'NTR' fetish roleplay scenario for the in-game audience, with suggestive dialogue.

Not quite the same, but Ame is clearly keeping her KAngel and off-stream personas separate. While there's no indication she's trans, it's common for streamers in Japan to keep their identities secret due to concerns about privacy. Several endings deal with the identities clashing publically in some form or another. One ending, "Internet Overdose," is an extended sequence where Ame gets harassed, doxxed, and stalked IRL for breaking down and vomiting onstream. In-game posters consistently refer to her as 'Ame' in a derogatory way after a certain point, violating her privacy. While not directly dealing with gender identity, could still be triggering.

Ame's sexuality is intentionally left ambiguous, as P-chan is written in a gender-neutral way and there are a few KAngel lines that could be interpreted as Ame either expressing interest in women or teasing the idea to her viewers. Thus, it is possible to read her as either hetero or bi/pan. The 'Dinder' mechanic has Ame go on dates with men with your full knowledge, which can be considered cheating, and she can leave you for a male streamer in two endings. That said, this is made extra complicated by the Save 0 ending, which implies P-chan was never a real person and we were playing as Ame the entire time.

It is, in fact, a major theme of the game. Ame can break down in various ways, with many endings dealing with the fallout of an episode of some form or another. It's shown throughout the game that she has a history of drug addiction, self-harm, hypersexuality (in one ending), and desperately craving approval to the point of making an imaginary lover to cope with loneliness. She also has mood swings and impulsivity, and a game mechanic involves keeping her 'stress,' 'affection,' and 'mental darkness' stats at a good level. While she is never given an in-text diagnosis, the most common interpretation is that she has borderline personality disorder, a condition that can cause similar symptoms.

SPOILERS: If you let Ame's stress get to over 80, an event will trigger where Ame forces you to help her cut her wrist by pressing a button, and there is no option to opt out (the depiction is very simplistic and abstract, but still obvious that it's wrist-cutting. The wrist is represented by a flat beige rectangle, and the cuts by thin, light-pink lines. There is no blood.) It is then proceeded by a stream where KAngel talks about why people might self-harm and closes it by asking her viewers to be understanding and empathetic of others.

As you go through multiple playthroughs, it's increasingly implied (and confirmed in Save 0) that P-chan is not Ame's partner, but essentially an imaginary friend/lover she came up with as a way to deal with loneliness, which means you are playing as Ame talking to herself the entire time. While Fight Club (and, in an out-of-game promotional image, Perfect Blue) is referenced as a way of foreshadowing this, Ame herself does not seem to be a depiction of DID, and most people read her as a depiction of BPD instead.

Whenever Ame uses drugs or is going through a major breakdown, the screen distorts to reflect her mental state. It becomes most noticeable during the "Internet Overdose" ending, during which Ame has an extended breakdown and gets harassed, with the implication she's overdosing on drugs, self-harming, and becoming increasingly paranoid. Multiple windows pop up depicting eyes before changing to comments bashing Ame, with similar graphics appearing from that point on. A poem about Ame's mental state shows up, and a convo with P-chan has both of them saying erratic things. Ame continues to behave erratically as the sequence continues, with the screen further distorting. The ending culminates with a stream of KAngel covered in blood while holding a funeral picture of Ame, rambling serenely about unrelated subjects. In short, plenty of first-person depictions of drug use and mental illness which are symbolized by screen distortion and unreality aspects.

Some of Ame's breakdowns can be interpreted as such, particularly when her stress stat is high. For example, if you manage to break the stress limit, there is an event where Ame streams as KAngel while screaming and crying about how she wants to die. One ending also features her vomiting on camera due to stress and drug use. Ame generally has problems with insecurity and can be self-critical or antsy in JINE or Tweeter messages.

There are several endings that have themes of suicide. "There Are No Angels" has Ame, in full KAngel mode, decide to livestream herself jumping off a building (this may be a reference to a similar real-world incident that happened in Japan). "Dark Angel" has Ame, in a dark version of her KAngel getup, rant onstream before slitting her own throat with a boxcutter. There is also an ending/fakeout ("Blazing Hell") where Ame is heavily considering (double?) suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning (she asks for charcoal, and once you press 'okay' she talks about being together in the next life. The ending screen comes on, but it goes back to the game where Ame says "just kidding! hehe," implying she either backed out or wasn't serious).

This is a pretty sexually charged game, as, while nothing outright graphic is depicted, discussion of sex and fanservice comes up often. Ame is quite obviously mentally ill and dealing with addiction behind the scenes, and there are multiple times where she can have a public breakdown. These public breakdowns can have in-game fans making fun of her and her situation. The worst of it is the Internet Overdose ending, which is an extended sequence where she gets harassed and doxxed for breaking down and vomiting on-stream, with some pretty harsh language from various Internet users about her.

Ame's sexuality is open to interpretation. Some of KAngel's streams and tweets suggest that she either has some interest in women or is teasing the idea of such as a way to gain viewers. For example, she can be excited about being surrounded by 'cute girls' when talking about her day trips, and when asked about her opinion of MILFs she responds 'they're fine, but I prefer BL more,' which could mean women aren't an absolute dealbreaker for her depending on your interpretation. P-chan's gender is also intentionally left mostly ambiguous. However, she likes BL (as previously noted), goes on Dinder dates with men, leaves P-chan for a male streamer in two different endings, and caters to male fans. Thus, Ame could be feasibly interpreted as either heterosexual or bi/pansexual. She can die from suicide in two separate endings. A few other endings leave her fate ambiguous.

No jokes specifically targeted towards fat people but a main character in a randomly selected JINE message makes a fatphobic remark

Some of the comments from the faceless fans are very misogynistic, calling KAngel a slut, whore, etc.

It's implied that some of KAngel's fans are significantly older than her, and can post sexually objectifying comments. Ame's age isn't outright given but one ingame tweet she can post suggests that she's under 25, but is otherwise old enough to be considered an adult. It's also implied that Ame does not enjoy sexually exploiting herself during the more risque streams but only does so for validation and views. The final 'KAngel Tries Stuff' stream has post-stream text mentioning Ame was creeped out by a young fan's father trying to get her number, with the implication he was interested in her. The Dinder mechanic also has several post-activity texts about her dates being 'old guys' and feeling uncomfortable with them trying to sleep with her, with no further specifics (she likes the free food, though).

Yes - depending on the route, there can be heavy discussion of religion as well as KAngel / Ame having bouts of psychosis where she believes herself to be a literal angel or messenger of God. Most of these endings come after Ame abuses psychedelics (known as 'magic paper' in game).

Some partial nudity if you do the Sexy streams. The second one has KAngel's top undo to reveal her bra underneath (although she acts embarrassed and covers herself up, it's implied it may be deliberate). The final one, which is also an ending ("Fallen Angel"), is instead an image of KAngel with her top open with no bra underneath posted on "Tweeter" (it's positioned in a way that no nipples are shown), with text outright suggesting Ame is now creating more explicit content.

Some of the fans sexualize KAngel throughout the various social media sites you can access in-game. There's a gameplay mechanic where you can delete comments as a stream is ongoing, including people objectifying KAngel, which will reduce her stress level slightly. There are two stream categories, Sexy and ASMR, that are suggestive in nature. Doing them will get a huge follower count but will significantly increase Ame's stress, implying that she does not enjoy sexualizing herself for an audience. Doing the last Sexy stream gives you the 'Fallen Angel' ending, as KAngel posts an announcement on Tweeter (in-game Twitter) about upcoming content that will surely get her account banned. When this stream is unlocked, Ame will note that although she does not like doing this sort of content, it 'makes it so easy' and that she doesn't see herself going back to regular streams. This further shows that she only creates this sort of content for views, risking her mental health.

It's not explicit, but there is some NSFW content and sexual references.

During Day 15, Ame can reveal part of her backstory under the right conditions. One thing she can reveal is that she ran away from home when she was younger because her mother wanted to sell her as a prostitute, with her essentially jumping between friends' houses to survive. Worth mentioning is that the risk of eviction after a specific deadline is a threat, with you receiving a game over if you don't have enough subscribers by then. While Ame notes she'd be moving back to her parents' place if she does get evicted (meaning she'd be returning to an abusive/neglectful family but would have a place to stay otherwise), this may be triggering in a similar vein.

A lot of endings have highly existential themes - especially ones that happen after KAngel / Ame uses psychedelics

The game has 27 different endings. Some of these are technically game-overs caused by either getting a stat too high, not getting it high enough, or doing something too often. Some endings are sad, some are bittersweet, some are outright bad endings, and some are ambiguous in nature. The Save 0 ending, "Comment te dire adieu", which is the closest thing this game has to a True Ending, is more on the bittersweet side. This ending may also change your opinion on some of the other endings, as a major reveal may make other endings happier or sadder with it in mind.

Minor in proper gameplay. One livestream KAngel can do is a Let's Play of a FPS (based on Halo and Doom). The visuals aren't graphic, as they are static images of apparent gameplay with KAngel narrating. One promotional image (posted to real life Twitter) has KAngel pointing a gun at her own head. This may or may not be a reference to Persona 3 (need verification).
