Two instances that are sort of restraining. 1) old woman gets picked up by two cops and taken out of her house while having a heart attack, 2) two characters are locked in the back of a police vehicle against their will.
Pig being butchered is already dead, not killed on screen. Same with the armadillo (same image used from original Chainsaw film). So this is the category to use. No animals are shown dying on screen in this movie. That being said, the pig is hanging and having its insides removed, so it is graphic enough to issue a warning.
this is a pretty important plot point towards the end. two characters are fighting around a pool of water, one falls in and drags the other in as they fall. they wrestle underwater for a bit, both trying to push the other down, until one manages to get out and begins crawling away. the other climbs out after them and drags them back into the water
I wouldn’t say anyone is tortured, leatherface’s aim is to kill not to prolong it for his own gratification. People are killed and horribly too but no-one is tortured.
It only happens once at about 15min into the movie but around 31min, when a couple comes back to the house, you can see it on the floor zoomed in. Also bear in mind there are many moments where characters spit blood too which can easily be mistaken!
Leatherface is crying and holds a dress close to his face, smelling it, and uses some of the old lady’s makeup on his mask, which is her face skin, after she dies. This is meant to show him grieving and missing her. It has nothing to do with “Buffalo Bill” scenarios, cross-dressing, or transgender joking. It is stages of grief, and shows motive for wielding a chainsaw after putting it down for decades.
iirc (havent seen the movie in a while) the protagonists believe an old woman is illegally occupying her home and they threaten to kick her out. the threat of homelessness is definitely present near the beginning of the film
One of the sisters doesn’t make it, it happens quickly and isn’t dragged out but it is a incredibly sad note to leave on. If you don’t want to see it, stop the movie as soon as the one girl says “fuck off” in response to a joke while in the car about to drive away.
