I made the mistake of thinking this was a dog lover’s movie. Boy, was I wrong. First of all, it’s very John Wick-y. It starts off with a cop’s K-9 partner being killed by criminals and the paramedic at the scene refuses to help it cuz he says “humans first”. So Ace just lies there on the ground and dies while the cop punches the medic. Of course the cop gets in trouble even though it was an awful thing for the medic to say/do. Then another dog gets stabbed to death in a drug house. The coup de grace is when a poor guard dog gets shot by an exploding round and gets blown to literal pieces. I can’t stop thinking about it. Socks gets hurt and ends the movie as a tripod.
