at the beginning of the film and throughout it veronica is subjected to harassment, bullying and assault from a majority of the other characters in the film, including ron- with whom she goes on to be in a relationship and is friends?/ amicable with all the other characters
Luke Wilson looses one arm in the fight between the news channel men, and the bloody stump is shown. Later he appears with only one arm, although the remaining arm is then eaten by a bear (no blood is shown this time)
brick is described as having an “iq of 48” as well as being “mentally r*tarded”. from a lot of his behaviours it seems he’s shown with traits of autism but they’re played for laughs and obviously a point of comedy in the film.
Steve Carrels character tells the audience in the future a doctor will tell him he has "an IQ of 48 and is mentally ret*rded." His lack of intelligence is played for laughs throughout the film.
Ron throws a burrito onto a guy driving a motorcycle (Jack Black), who spins out and falls in a way that seems surprisingly realistic (I'm no expert) but is 100% non-violent (Black's motorcycle gear does its job). The one really upsetting scene comes when Black confronts Ron and does not directly involve the motorcycle.
