Thanks for letting us know. Yet another movie I won't be watching. It's really such a cheap film making choice anyway. It's as is the filmmaker said, "People will get invested if a child or animal is hurt. Done and done." How about the writers try a lot harder to write characters that we are invested in and not use these schlock, cliched choices for getting a viewer involved. It's just lazy writing.
A dog is poisoned (by an evil supernatural presence). Not extremely graphic other than seeing it vomited before they found it) but it made me very sad to see a little girl crying uncontrollably when she finds it dead. The mom is broken-hearted too but has to cover it up to comfort her little girl.
