Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.

Kal-El is a ham-fisted and blatant Jesus allegory, which is particularly confusing as he's also a gritty character who looks pissed most of the time in this one. Kal dies exclusively so Zack could set up Justice League reviving him in a way akin to Jesus. There's also sight of a Quran in a scene involving terrorists and a bullet penetrates the Quran and is extracted.
If you're sensitive to being put in an emotional "double bind," this movie will likely be rough to watch. Clark is set up and nitpicked over his superheroing for most of the movie. No matter what he does or doesn't do, he's continuously blamed every time something happens, and the outcome could have gone better. If he helps someone, and a random chain of events causes something bad to happen down the road, it's his fault. If he helps someone, and someone else suffers due to a lack of help, then that's his fault too. If he doesn't intercede, that's definitely his fault because he should have helped. He's vilified for being too powerful. He's vilified for not being powerful enough. Bruce vilifies him and then turns around and does things that are open to the same kinds of criticism. Later we learn that some of these events were fabricated to turn people against Clark.
No, but a few uncomfortable moments. (1) Lex feeds a hard candy to a minor character and is really creepy about it. (2) Bruce makes comments about Diana's dress and grabs her arm (3) Lex gets too close to Lois when he's gloating and puts an arm around her.
One character due to an alien substance, at least three different times with close ups of them panting and collapsing, and another character trapped underwater. None of those instances lead to asphyxiation.
People die in an explosion off screen. One character is almost burned alive, and another is killed in the fire.
A large room full of people are all suddenly killed in an explosion, one character survives.
No. A coffin is lowered into a grave, and it shakes slightly when nobody can see, but this is NOT due to the character being alive or starting to come back to life.
(1) We watch Lex cut off the pads of someone's fingers and then attach them to his own fingers so he can bypass a security door. (2) A character cuts off a monster's arm with a sword.
Falls yes, death no. (1) Classic "Superman saves someone thrown off a building" move with intense falling cinematography. (2) Batman throws a weakened Superman down a 4+ story stairwell with a visceral thud as he hits the floor.
Both Martha Kent and Lois Lane are ambushed and stuffed into vans. They're rendered helpless and gloated at. Lois is thrown off a building, and Martha is tied to a chair, almost shot, and pictures of her in distress are shown to provoke Clark.
(1) Lois takes a bath. Nothing explicit is shown, but only just. It's a respectfully written scene though, and a nice moment with Clark. (2) Bruce showers. Nothing explicit or overly suggestive is shown. (3) A naked dead body is lowered into water. We barely avoid seeing anything explicit.
The main bad guy is obviously severely mentally ill, and he commits truly evil acts. However, I believe the only direct, physical thing he does to harm someone is push a person off a tall building (although fully expecting Superman to catch the person).
Someone is trapped under water by huge slabs of concrete. At least one person is tied up, unable to use their arms. We see a closed coffin, and we know there's a dead person inside.
Lois is in a tub naked, but nothing explicit is shown. Clark talks with her, then as they banter, he gets in the tub while taking off his clothes. The most suggestive thing we see is her hands on his bare back.
Yes, lots. Batman kills people with guns, characters are threatened with guns, and a minor character in the beginning is shot in the head point blank execution style.
