The Winter Soldier is seen tied down in a chair with restraints at one point. Despite being in distress (he's about to undergo a memory wipe which is clearly shown to be extremely painful), little to no resisting occurs.

Bucky Barnes is shown to have lost his left arm at the elbow during his fall from the train in 1945. Hydra surgeons are then shown to start cutting into the elbow to begin removing the remainder of the flesh arm to make way for the titanium arm with the red star. Then the scene shifts to Bucky waking up to his (then) new cybernetic arm. No literal damage to hands shown, but this may be connected enough for some people to be bothered by it.

The Winter Soldier is Bucky Barnes, who has been brainwashed, tortured, medically altered without his consent, wiped of his memories— and thus his identity and moral compass— each time they started to resurface, and treated as less than human for the entirety of his time as a POW held by and used as a weapon by Hydra. It is all absolutely depersonalization.

There are a couple of spy characters in the movie, so there's that. One rolls up on the main character right where he's located after a run, and it's clear that they didn't arrange that spot prior, as it's an emergent hostage extraction mission briefing he's being picked up for, but she does text him that she's about to pick him up, and they're friends/colleagues.
Another character is a mind controlled assassin, and snipes another character when they think they're in a safe-ish place, but there was definitely some time spent by the assassin laying in wait for the best possible shot, knowing his target was there.

At the end, the main antagonist (who is actually a good guy, but was brainwashed to to bad things for evil people) escapes his imprisonment, and goes on the run. We don't see where he goes, but he wouldn't have a home to go to, at least for a while. He's not homeless by the next installment, at two years later, so there's hope to hold onto if that helps.
