At one point Harge is seen visibly drunk; he gets into a physical altercation with Carol. Once or twice characters make references to needing a drink if they are feeling sad or upset. Otherwise there's a fair amount of social drinking within reason.

Towards the end of the film where Abby is driving Therese back to New York. The car pulls over to the side of the road and Therese runs out and v* a little bit. No sound and the camera is far away and it's not much, either—more like retching out of grief/emotional distress. It didn't bother me too much even as an emetophobe.

Not really watched so much as audio recorded, but Carol and Therese have consensual sex that is taped without their knowledge for it to be used against Carol in a custody battle

No slurs, but obviously there's a lot of homophobia in this movie. Carol gets denied access to her daughter because of it.

The two main characters have sex, but you can only see their upper body. I'm usually triggered by sex but I didn't care much about this.

Maybe ,but then again it’s probably not recommended to let your children watch an R-rated movie that contains at least one s*x scene

The ending is more bittersweet and also a bit ambiguous since it kind of “stops” at a certain point (but I don’t mean that in a bad way)
