Uzi's mother is described as "kooky" and "insane" by her widowed husband for her seemingly paranoid beliefs about "the coming sky demons." He is concerned that Uzi is heading down a similar path.
Tessa's parents are abusive towards her, Uzi's father, Khan, could be considered abusive or neglectful, but he seems to try and make up for it. (Keyword is try)
There is violence among teammates. N is frequently abused by his team leader, J. There is a scene where she stands on him while insulting him and telling him that she would kill him if she was allowed to, a different scene where she slaps N across the face to make his systems reboot and a scene where J gives N a virus, intending to kill him.
N is frequently bullied by J and made to believe he is worthless and terrible. There is a brief scene of N being stood on by J as she calls him these things while saying that she would kill him if she was allowed to. This scene is shown as a memory while N tells Uzi about his teammates. Despite the many insults J hurls at him, N remains positive. JCJenson also deceives the Disassembly Drones in order to make sure they do their jobs, despite the company not actually caring.
While not technically an addiction, especially not in a traditional way, Disassembly Drones regularly need to drink oil, which is required for their survival.
In several Episodes characters step on the robotic cockroaches & squash them visibly while V eats one in Episode 3.
In Episode 5 the Solver crushes Uzi in her crow form and throws her away, killing the bird.
In the same episode while possessing the bird, it appears to snap it's own neck and appears dead for a few moments before Uzi takes over.
Yes and No. While there aren't biological, IRL snakes, in Episodes 2, 5 and barely visible in Episode 7, as well as the Credits in Episode 8 the Antagonist takes the form of a giant centipede which could be interpreted as a snake if the legs aren't visible.
N also calls it "spooky holo snake crab".
Yes, there are bug-like creatures in the series. They are robots (?) but they do act and look like some sort of bug. Some characters are seen eating or killing them from time to time.
There’s a moment during a fight scene where a mother robot slaps her currently possessed robot daughter so hard she’s launched into the floor and embedded into the concrete.
Yes. One of the human characters is seen to be abused on the wrist by her parents, along with multiple hands being stabbed. There is oil instead of blood, but it's still graphic.
A recent example of this is in Episode 8, when one of the characters gets their heart ripped out and struggles to breathe as they try to put it back in. There are more other examples across the series, too.
Mostly robots with oil instead of blood, however a human is decapitated in episode 7 with real blood. In the finale, The antagonist is possessing a human corpse which is decapitated multiple times, but they just put their head back on.
Disassembly Drones have nanite acid, which causes things to melt. In one scene, N stabs Uzi's hand with his tail, injecting some nanite acid which burns a hole through her hand. This is fixed soon after and nobody burns alive on screen, though Uzi's mother is mentioned to have been killed by Khan out of mercy after the Disassembly Drones got to her with their nanite acid.
Uzi falls unconcious in Episode 6 where she passes out after the Solver directly possessed her.
Alot of the Drones "pass out" when their core is disconnected, although they can still come back to life.
After N gets his core ripped out in Episode 8 his body stays unconcious while his core is seen being awake until they get re-united.
No bones are broken but other serious injuries are shown and V has a line about wanting to make balloon animals out of Worker Drones, which would likely entail crushing their limbs, among other things.
In Episode 5 after J crushes the metal chains holding her and Tessa with her teeth, she spits out fluid that appears to be blood. No teeth are shown to be damaged, but the implication is there.
One of the leads has her hands stabbed in multiple episodes, very notably episode 6 has a torture scene where her fingers are cut off (regeneration means it is not permanent, but it is still very uncomfortable). Later on in this same episode her whole hand is cut off after her powers hijack control of her hand, making the fingers appear broken.
During a fight with J, Uzi throws a pen into one of the lights on J's head, which are her "real eyes". This shatters one of them. Uzi then jumps up and uses her feet to force the pen into J's visor while J holds it up as she inspects it. This breaks J's visor.
There's lots of stabbing in the series, though a notable example is when the female lead throws a pen at one of the Disassembly Drone's heads and stabs them with it.
All characters are robots and any gore displayed is oil. Drones are given fatal injuries, maimed and killed on screen. The Disassembly Drones live in a spire of corpses and the ground around and inside it are littered with bodies and severed limbs. There is a scene where N kills many Worker Drones in quick succession, one of which being beheaded, another being lasered in half and another being tackled to the ground and killed off screen. A drone is also killed in a silohuette during the exposition and another drone is killed by V during a memory scene while N tells Uzi about his teammates. Uzi is also stabbed by N and coughs up oil and Thad is stabbed and thrown around by V multiple times.
the main characters mom’s death is graphically described but not shown. the death another character’s parents is discussed and mildly shown in flashbacks, and their dead bodies are shown.
Uzi's mother is dead, having been killed by Khan out of mercy. This is not shown on screen, merely mentioned by Khan once and the event occured before the pilot of the show.
While not technically kidnapped, V is taken as a prisoner at the end of the pilot by N and Uzi. V is seemingly not distressed by this however, merely annoyed.
No but the antagonist has the power to show realistic projections of anything. It sometimes uses this to create a projection of a dead character to manipulate someone, lure them to their death or scar them emotionally
Several robotic characters are suffering from a virus A.I program that takes over their body and controls them against their will several times.
It’s also revealed at the end of Episode 7 that a human character was actually the same virus possessing their corpse and posing as them.
Also there’s a brief joke in episode 2 where the main character has hacked into another robots body and is controlling them against their will but this is played of for comedy unlike the other previously mentioned instances.
Disassembly Drones have needles at the ends of their tails used for injecting nanite acid into their victims. Uzi is stabbed by N's tail but the injury is fixed shortly after.
Main antagonist is a computer virus that has reality warping powers. The setting of the final episode is a planet that is being ripped into chunks and eaten by an eldritch monster
Uzi has something that could be considered as meltdown in Episode 4 which is mostly contributed to her transformation. She is seen visibly shaken, breathing heavily and not thinking properly, having issues to focus as she shuts herself in and destroys a clock whichs ticking noise throws her off.
While none of the characters are shown to be autistic, these situations could be interpreted as meltdowns-like in regards to what causes it (overwhelmed by noises, light and sight) and the response (desperately trying to get away, covering senses etc.).
Not in the explicitly trans sense, but Uzi and N have several moments in the show where they are uncomfortable with the changes that are happening/happened to their bodies. Potentially triggering if you read into it that way.
While not outright PTSD, N is shown to have flashbacks and panic attacks related to past trauma of memories he only remembers vaguely.
Alot of the characters are shown very docile & forgetful due to their simple AI, although most of the main characters experience PTSD-like symptoms.
V is visibly shaken by the mention of their past by N in Episode 3 to the point where she decapitates him to stop talking about it.
She also often appears shaken up whenever the Solver is being used, especially in Episode 4 and Episode 6.
In Episode 8 N appears to have flashbacks to Cyn tearing him apart & seeing an apparently 'dead' V next to him, hyperventilating and cowering while hiding from Cyn with Uzi.
There are some occasional, very short shots that include a shakey cam. An example of this would be during the exposition when the planet core collapse is shown.
Not really but the logo may potentially be considered eyestrain due to the glitch effect on it. Uzi's rail gun also causes a bright flash whenever it is fired but the flash is not overwhelmimg and only lasts a second.
The antivirus program that’s needed to kill the antagonist is inside a USB shaped like a crucifix and the antagonist is nicknamed “the antichrist” at one point
Because the series is predominantly about robots, Most of the “blood” and “gore” is actually oil and robot parts but it leans very heavily into them being a substitute for actual gore. The main character has an uncontrollable telekinetic-esk power that turns materials and other inanimate objects into a red fleshy blood-like substance which activates against their will several times. A human is injured and later killed in episodes 6 and 7 with regular blood being seen.
During the exposition, it is shown/explained that a nuclear explosion, as a result of the planet's core collapsing, killed all the humans on the planet.
The female lead uses a sci-fi laser gun several times until it’s destroyed in episode 2. Other main characters have a combination of laser and modern firearms built into their arms which they use countless times against other robots. A human character tries to use a realistic looking revolver in episode 5 on a robot but it’s completely ineffective.
