A massive ball of furry creatures from another world eat their way through a small mid-western town followed by intergalactic bounty hunters opposed only by militant townspeople.
This movie contains 19 potentially triggering events.
The critters eat a cow, some chickens, and a goldfish. The kills happen off screen, except for the goldfish. You only see the remains of the cow shaking as the critters eat, and a person shines a flashlight on the remains. You don’t see any chickens, just a critter in a henhouse and feathers flying. One critter dunks its head into a fish tank and pops out with a goldfish in its mouth, then slurps it like a spaghetti noodle.
The Crites can fire needles/quills/spines out of their backs. Wherever these hit a character what looks almost like a gaint pimple is left in the area, however these are only briefly shown.
If needles trigger you, then the critters having poison body spikes/darts they can shoot at people might have similar trigger effects. But there aren’t any syringes with needles in this movie.
The word "sh*t" is used multiple times in the move and "f**k" is used once however in the critters language so it isn't heard but rather is shown in subtitles.
There are a lot of flashing lights in the movie. Holograms, police lights, alien gunfire, bright explosion, and the title card are a few examples. There is also a scene in the beginning of the movie that shows the one of the bounty hunters rapidly flipping through images and sped up clips of earth's history.
In a few scenes the camera takes the view of a Critter and shows them stalking characters. In another scene a Critter is seen in the background watching a character that is unaware of their presence.
