one main character has a father who attacks her twice during what appear to be psychotic episodes (he appears to act more normally towards her when he is sane and sober). this is treated with a lot of gravity both by the character who suffers the abuse and other characters around her.
another character also appears to have a very controlling and strict religious mother, although this is mostly played for laughs

after being abused by her father Harper is put in temporary foster care with another family, she then goes back to live with her father and he abused her again (spoilers bellow) eventually leading to her stabbing him in self defense and leaving him in the hospital, cutting contact. In s2 Harper an Malakai seem to get along and dusty is shunned by everyone, even though both Harper and Dusty took advantage of Malakai equally while he was extremely drunk and had just experienced trauma. Dusty is even called out for taking advantage of Malakai by Darren.
Huge s2 SPOILS
a character blames the death of his brother on Amerie as she bullied him as a child and abuses and manipulated her anonymously, even going as far as to lock her in a burning building, she then helps him escape after he realizes it wasn’t her fault.

a teenager is briefly kidnapped with plans of abusing her but she scapes, in other two instances, a dad with a drug issue which causes him delusional episodes doesnt recognize his daughter and tries to attack her, in the first time (not first SCENE, as its not shown in a linear timeline but rather first a later instance and then a retelling of the first instance) she enters her room and closes the door after he goes after her and stays safe. the second time she waits with a knife for him, and runs away, but fails, then they both enter the room and next thing thats shown is the ambulance and blood on her face as she cries. she isnt actually sexually or phisically assaulted badly that we know of (as she scapes from the kidnappers they grab her hair tho) and she defends herself, but the intent was there and it was still traumatizing for her, and even if nothing is shown very explicitly it is hard to watch as a victim, or even to hear the retelling for some.

For brief moments a racoon or a similar animal is mentioned to be "rotting in the park" or something alike but nothing is shown or descripted, it is only mentioned as they consider using said rotting (therefore badly smelling and gross) carcass to keep students out of the school as they have taken over it.

- a boy is blacked out on alcohol and tries to jump off a roof, another guy goes up there and restrains him while he tries to get off his hold, but this is to keep him safe and he repeats reassuring things until he breaks down crying and appreciates the embracing

Episode 7 from about 39:19 to 39:45 Ant talks about how he need to poo and you can hear his stomach gurgling. He drops to his knees dramatically and farts. I don't think he actually soils himself I think he just farts but it's still uncomfortable if that upsets you.
The dialogue in this scene demonstrates Amerie's feelings about the protest and builds tension for Ant to make a plot-important confession.
You can skip from 39:15 to 39:46 to avoid all poo related content. Any confesses at 39:55
I will include the dialogue below from 39:15 to 39:45 if anyone wants to read it:
Amerie:
We are so screwed why did I think this was a good idea?
Ant:
I've gotta go it's real bad now.
Amerie:
JoJo's not coming she was never gonna come!
Ant:
The brown trout's about to swim upstream!
Amerie:
It's all been for fucking nothing! It's over, we blew it.
Ant:
I don't know, I think I kind of deserve this hey? It's like karma or Gods punishment.
Amerie:
Are you talking about the protest or a poo? I'm lost now.
*Ant sees a picture of Jesus*
Ant:
Jesus…
*falls to knees and farts*
It's a sign. I'm sorry, Jesus. I'm sorry for what I did.
Amerie:
What? What are you talking about? What did you do?
Ant:

Amerie:

*kicks Ant*

Autism is represented well in this show.
The autistic character is played by an actually autistic actor (Chloe Hayden).
This helps greatly in representing autism accurately and authentically.

The scenes are tense and uncomfortable (even for me that I do not have this trigger), but there is no physical attacks shown on camera (shows when he's about to attack her, or jumps towards her, but immediately there is a change of scene).

One of the characters, Quinni, I think has misophonia. In episode 2 about 30 minutes in there is a restaurant scene which focuses in on different sounds. It may be triggering if you also have misophonia so I would turn volume down and use subtitles for this scene <3

There is a joke where a character asks "Is this your 13th reason?" and then asks more clearly if the character they are talking to is going to "unalive" themself. It isn't necessarily saying "I'll kill myself," but I think it's worth mentioning.

A lot of them are Aussie swear words like “cunt” which I know has a different context in America. Might be best for international watchers to brush up on some Aussie slang before watching too

“Povo” shaming poor people (its slang here for Poverty) body shaming, queerphobia, racism (especially towards the Blak characters, Blak means Aboriginal Australian and yes we are black/blak) ableism etc. mention of a non Native American sageing her house. S2 focuses on a misogynist coach. Misuse of chakras, yoga, Tibetan singing bowls and Reiki. Sasha is very much a performative feminist and doesn’t actually care about a lot of the issues she pretends to. One of the main teachers spreads and encourages misogyny and anti”woke”ness

A family that fosters Harper says grace and there is a Private school (which in Australia is typically run by religious people and they often inforce Christian teachings and practices on the children who go there). A guy mentions that his family found out he was doing sexual things with a nonbinary person and his family made him go to church, implying she’s trying to “pray the gay away”. Amerie says “that isn’t very Christian of you” or “what would Jesus do” often to Christian people or people trying to appease Christians. Religious cults mentioned

Not really but the abortion scene can be scary. Its not intentionally fearmongering but it could scare someone away from getting an abortion i think.
