There very much is, the entire character of Fontaine is a 'man in a dress' joke. She's apparently supposed to be a trans woman, but considering the time this movie came out and... everything about her, I don't trust it.
Also an entire plot point centers around two of the main characters dressing in drag.

Eleos
There is a minor character called Fontaine Rivera (who is an offensive caricature of a trans woman) who gets murdered. She seduces the leprechaun and is murdered during during the implied sex scene.

The humor of the scene is derived from the protagonists of the film watching the situation and mistaking the murder for loud sex, with exaggerated reactions of disgust at the idea of a trans woman in a sexual situation. The murder is semi-graphic.

The leprechaun is temporarily defeated but ultimately manages to survive. Since the film is a horror-comedy franchise framed around the antagonist, it's not depicted as particularly sad by the narrative within the film.
