The fatphobic remarks towards Sara and her family are essential to the plot. She is name called and harassed for her weight throughout the film, especially in the beginning before the kidnapping.
Eh, the cops ultimately don't come to the rescue or anything but one cop character is portrayed as being sympathetic towards Sara on why she won't come forward with the truth.
Although a bit ambiguous, it is safe to say the killer kills one of Sara's parents during a struggle and strikes the other down but while they faint, it's not enough to say they get killed.
The murderer tries to hit three teenage boys with his car but they all get away. It is implied at least two of them get hurt off screen but it is unlikely they died as a result.
SPOILER
Sara develops a crush on the murderer who is an older man because he seems to be the only one to show her any bit of kindness and fantasizes about him when listening to porn on her phone. The murderer becomes aware of this and uses her confused feelings to groom her emotionally so she won't say anything about her witnessing the crime but it's implied he is attracted to her too. They never do anything physically together but in one scene it looks like they are about the kiss.
Sara lives with her butcher family so naturally a lot of meat carcasses including a dead pig being prepared to sell at the opening. Her mother mentions she shot some rabbits for the store. However, the only animal to die on screen is an escaped bull that is hit by a car.
Offscreen when the killer drives backward to ram into Sara's bullies, one of them off-screen screams that their arm is hurt, implying it's broken but never shown. The character Pedro has a cast throughout the film but he doesn't brake during the events of the film.
