No. Someone tried to shoot the dog after they arrive in New York, but the dog's owner intervenes and saves the dog. The dog runs away, but is seen again at the end of the movie, safe and sound.
The dog is present for many of the events, and flees from gunshots at one point, though his emotional state is not really focused on and no physical harm is brought to him.
The main character was thrown into a lake by uncle to "learn how to swim" as a child. She doesn't remember this event until near the end of the movie and it is right after she confronts him for it that he is killed.
There's a flashback to Rennie being thrown into a lake by her uncle as a way to "teach" her to swim. She is very clearly struggling and her uncle doesn't help her until she gets pulled underwater by Jason.
A girl is carried off forcibly by two criminals and injected with drugs. The two are killed by Jason before they can do anything to her, but it is heavily implied they planned to rape her.
in the intro it briefly cuts to two men 'shooting up' drugs in an alley way. this last five seconds and isnt very graphic.
once they get to new york (and hour into the film) two men inject one of the girls with a fluid through the arm while she screams, this is very graphic.
Early in the movie, when the anchor gets caught on the black tube/cables, there is a lot of flashing until the electricity goes out.
Later, when the girl with the crossed suspenders is running from Jason she runs into a room with a dance floor and many lights.
When the boy with the camera is thrown by Jason he hits something electrical which causes sparks and then a fire. After that you on & off see fire & explosions for a bit.
When the people are headed to the lifeboat, lightning strikes the boat, causing a bright flashing for a bit.
More fire & explosions when the cop car crashes
As soon as they get off the subway train there is a lot of sparking from the tracks
Child Jason is shown drowning several times as part of Rennie's hallucinations. Rennie is shown drowning both as a prank orchestrated by a classmate and in a flashback. Julius is thrown into the sea and is assumed to have drowned, but he later shows up having swam to the boat with the others.
