The dog dies around the 1-hour mark. Robert, a family friend, accidentally lets the family dog Bella out while putting the trash out at night. She is shown running into the woods where she confronts and is killed by the creature. He gets dragged by his jacket, but it was to protect him. Idk why anyone said that's abuse. He literally punched his step mom in the face before getting dragged away.
fairly close shot of an earthworm covered in dirt at 23 mins, not technically a bug but figured people would want to know
also i have a phobia of certain fast-moving bugs and i didn't think the monster in this moved like a bug at all, in case that's the thing keeping someone from watching this movie
End of opening scene with closeup has rapid flashes. Followed by two nightmare sequences with excessive blue strobes (not much else happening on screen so nothing missed while looking away)
No, but the son sleeps in his stepmom's bed one night. Nothing overtly sexual happens, but they both know he's probably too old to be doing that and just awkward few scenes.
